Vocab Slick is a Northern California emcee whose passion for music and Hip-Hop is infectious. In addition to dropping critically acclaimed projects both solo and with his group Distant Relatives, Vocab Slick co-founded the highly successful Slap Frost Tour. The decades-long tour, featuring the likes of Zumbi of Zion-I, Planet Asia, Locksmith, Casual, Pep Love, Opio, and Chino XL, among others, wrapped up its final show in January 2026. He’s accomplished all of this in the face of personal loss and struggles, which have only motivated him to continue creating important, gripping Hip-Hop. As Vocab says himself, "I took that pain and poured it into my music." This time is no different. With the release of Jewelz (feat. Starski) at the beginning of 2025, Vocab Slick has been leading us on a linguistic journey somewhere. At the end of the journey lies Vocab Slick’s first full body of work in 3 years, Dreaming in Overtime, releasing in April 2026.
