@the_twilite_tone — The Twilite Tone

The Twilite Tone is a multifaceted creative who has contributed to several globally impactful projects throughout his career. The 5x Grammy Award nominee got his 1st big break in the ‘80s, working closely w/fellow Chicagoans & childhood friends Common & No I.D. who formed the hip-hop group: C.D.R. Tone co-produced much of Common’s debut album, 'Can I Borrow A Dollar'. In 2012, Tone was invited to a birthday party of Common, where he casually reconnected w/ Kanye West. Eager to collaborate, they created the iconic track: “Mercy”. The reconnection then led to Tone’s work w/ John Legend, which led to working w/ Pusha T & Big Sean. This momentum led to Tone contributing his sound to the Gorillaz' 2017 release, 'Humanz'. In 2018, after reconnecting with DJ Peanut Butter Wolf, Tone signed a deal w/ Stones Throw Records for the release of his 1st full-length debut, 'The Clearing'. Two years after his debut album, Tone is moving into the now as he approaches his sophomore release.
