Raised in an unstable living environment surrounded by drugs, violence and no role models, Rico found his escape from reality through football and music. As a teen, he and his father moved to a suburban neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia, which exposed Rico to a more positive outlook on life. He focused all his angst and pain into sports, which resulted in Rico receiving the greatest news of his life; a full ride scholarship to Georgia Tech to play Division 1 College football. As a top football player at Georgia Tech, he was well respected in Atlanta and was able to make strong connections with popular DJs, rap artists and producers in the music industry.
