Born to an Armenian mother and Iranian father, R-Mean was born in Los Angeles but raised in The Netherlands until the age of 18, when he returned to LA to pursue his music career.Known for his powerful lyricism and commanding presence, R-Mean has collaborated with some of Hip-Hop’s most legendary names, including Nas and Wu-Tang Clan, as well as modern heavy-hitters like Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and more. His song Open Wounds turned into a global movement raising awareness about the Armenian Genocide of 1915, further cementing his place as a cultural voice and pioneer for his people.While relentlessly building his music career, he also graduated from UCLA before earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Loma Linda University — a reflection of the discipline, resiliance and ambition that define his journey.
