Born in Fresno, California, producer and keyboardist Markis Precise took to time-honored traditions of crate-digging to create the sample-based soundscapes that contributed to Central California’s independent hip-hop scene. In 2012, he released "Impressions", a live instrumentation album paying tribute to classic 90s hip-hop. In 2015, he independently connected with respected artists to contribute to his album "The Feeling Of Flying", featuring collaborations with Brother Ali, Fashawn, Elzhi, Oddisee, Zion I, The Grouch, Eligh, Ras Kass, Gift Of Gab, Strong Arm Steady, Sol, and Chuuwee. In May 2020, he released a new full-length album "No Wings Without Scars", featuring collaborations with Talib Kweli, Conway the Machine, Murs, Brother Ali, Locksmith, Fashawn, Ill Camille, The Grouch, Eligh, Reuben Vincent, Stro, and Jon Keith.
