The group was formed living out of the trunk of their car. As a couple they overcame major struggle through harmony, love and music. Johnnie Blu is a former hip hop artist known as "Tone", whose family bounced around the Dallas, Oak Cliff area. Shugga grew up in the Dallas, Pleasant Groove area known for being a lead singer at the St Luke United Methodists church starting at the age of five. Johnnie blu and Shugga have competed and won many hip hop and rnb competitions around the Dallas Tx area.
